The Customer Service Shift Supervisor will assist customers in their shopping experience by leading the Front Office team in a way that not only promotes growth for the company, but also results in a team that delivers the service Cosentino customers have come to expect.

 

Customer Service Shift Supervisor Essential Functions:

1. In the absence of the Office Manager or Assistant Office Manager, this individual will provide direct supervision of the activities of all other members of the Front End team in a manner that is operationally effective, but is also motivating and respectful.

2. Ensure team members have information they need to effectively perform in their roles (i.e. policy or procedure changes, new merchandise information, sale information, etc).

3. Promote a positive overall team atmosphere that includes cooperation and teamwork, high morale, positive interpersonal interactions and communications, and recognition for a job well done.

4. Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner and recognize when it is appropriate to involve a member of the store management team.

5. Know and implement the Cosentino Customer Service Standards.

6. Able to monitor front end activity and recognize when adjustments should be made to accommodate customer needs.

7. Quickly and courteously intervenes when a cashier requests assistance with a customer transaction.

8. Be knowledgeable about the products in the department and the store in order to accurately and courteously answer customer questions.

9. Accurately process all payment types, such as cash, checks, WIC, food stamps, coupons and other payment methods.

10. Act in a cashier role as needed to ensure a friendly, convenient customer experience.

11. Ensure the front end is always clean and displays a professional overall appearance for customers.

12. Efficiently and courteously handle all returns, exchanges and price adjustments.

13. Ensure team compliance with all liquor and tobacco regulations, coupon redemption, currency transfers, MSB compliance, Western Union and money orders.

14. Ensure all POS systems and cash office systems are running smoothly and contact appropriate services as needed.

15. Know, comply with, and ensure the team complies with all health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and your store.

 

Qualifications:

1.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must-have for this position.

2. Able to lift 36 lbs. on a repeated daily basis.

3. Able to withstand long periods of standing.

4. Able to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment.

5. Able to maintain a calm, courteous demeanor in all customer interactions.

6. A liquor license must be obtained prior to the first day of work (as required by cinty/county requirements).
